Fast forward

Using ATT DirectTV Streaming box and watching recorded movie. I lost my internet connection for about 5 minutes and whe I resumed the movie and used the fast forward button where i used to see the images of the skipped portion (commercials) suddenly didn’t show up any more. The tv shows the last scene of the where i started the fast forward. The button does fast forward but without the scene’s being skipped showing you have no idea when to stop the fast forward.

Did you try closing the record and opening it again? 
We want to make sure because it happens when the connection is interrupted, so you just need to close the app and try again.
If that doesn't work, please uninstall the app and install it again, it will refresh the features.

Let us know how it goes, or we could check further options.

Actually, after about an hour of this problem, it started working again. It was during the same movie. Seems strange that I didn’t do anything and just fixed itself. Being in IT for 42 years I can be sure that it will happen again. Thanks for the replies.

I'm constantly having to reset my fire-stick because when I try to access Direct Stream, it just sits there on the logo screen.  Then, when I do get access, I'll have to reset again because the fast forward/feature doesn't show the images being skipped.  So, I get in a habit of every time I access, I immediately reset my fire-stick.  Frustrating.

How old is your FireStick, @mtedwar ?

The Stream App isn't officially supported on the first generation Fire devices.
