Gemini air search features
Still learning the new remote. Like it a lot (especially compared to the limited feature on say the roku device) but still not being able to do the same things that we used to do on the sat remote.
the search feature - question x wife was looking for Reba tv show. It’s on 312 Hallmark. But when I go to and use the search feature it doesn’t find the 312 show but instead brings up the show on Hulu. Can anyone tell me why I can’t find it.
plus - I have max and wanted to record season 1 of house of dragons from hbo. Again found it but didn’t record it . P

I was able to find Reba by using the search icon from the menu.
Max is an on demand app, and you can't record from it. You select what you want to watch and then if you stop it will pick up where you left off where you stopped it the next time you open that movie or series. If you have HBO on your DirecTV Stream package you can record from that by using the guide.
If you like the remote from the satellite DirecTV system and have one available you can use it for the DirecTV Stream boxes. I have a DirecTV satellite remote RC73 that I use and it works great. If you don't have one you can find them on Amazon and several other places.

Lou_do - thanks for the response. Some followup questions
1. I have several remotes from sat days. Small one and long skinny one. R u saying I can use those to control/interface with Gemini air? I used them to control sat with genie boxes. If I can use them how do i do that?
2. I have hbo and in sat I would go to 501 and call up the programming and fund it and select it for recording, I’m not sure I know how to achieve the same results.
so do I select 501 and then use the search or should I be able to search from anywhere. Sorry to drag this out . I’m happy with the air device vice Byod options

richard276, I am using original Gemini C71KW-200 DirecTV Stream boxes, and using satellite RC73 remotes to control them. I don't have any Gemini Air devices so I don't know if they work on them. Which looks like they don't from Mohammad's post.

can I go over the search/record item again
i used search and found house of the dragon and told it to record the series but I can’t see/find when it will record. Is it waiting for it to be braodcasted again? I old sat days it would immediately start recording, I’ve looked in the upcoming recordings and I don’t see it there. Again am I doing something wrong?
