Gemini unit troubles

I'm new to the DirecTV family, having spent the last 20 years using TiVo via a cable provider. The over-the-phone sales rep from DirecTV sold me that the user experience on a Gemini unit would mirror what I loved most about TiVo. It most certainly does not, but I'm willing to be patient if there is hope for product development on the horizon. For those who haven't enjoyed the control a TiVo device provides, here's what I miss most and what the Gemini doesn't currently allow:

1) Ability to pause multiple live recordings on different channels and switch between them while never losing my place in the feed.

2) Ability to advance frame by frame through a program

3) Ability to watch a recording (including one that is still in progress) in fast-foward so you can follow the action seamlessly - much like you listen to a podcast in 1.5x speed fastforward this is a necessary feature if you don't have the luxory of watching an entire sporting event but still want to take in all the elements.

4) Ability to control the duration that a recording is extended. TiVo provided pre-set handles for extending a recording up to 3 hours but the DirecTV "auto-extend" is a poor facsimile and completely inadequate in what programs it applies to.

5) The DirecTV guide feature prevents multiple recordings of a program with the same name across channels. For example, if you want to watch your home team's game on both its regional broadcast partner's channel AND a national channel, you can't preset the Gemini to record both channels.

Please advise that the technical team is addressing these or that you are even in discussion with TiVo to find compatibility between your systems.
