H&I programming question

Unfortunately, none of us would know that information as we are customers just like you on a public forum. Programming/guide issues go beyond the scope of the actual DIRECTV STREAM service and need to be brought up with the channel itself. In this case, that would be H&I. Let them know that their Guide info on DIRECTV STREAM is incorrect. If you want, you can call DIRECTV STREAM and also give them a heads up.

Let us know what is the device you're using to stream, and if the channel guide issue is present in other devices. You can also try to uninstall and then reinstall the app again, this would help you fix the problem. We'll be attentive to your response.

Are you on the east coast?  If not, you are probably dealing with the fact that DirecTV Stream offers east coast feeds for national programming, and doesn't time shift it for subscribers in other time zones (as local cable generally does).  So if you are on the west coast, programs will show 3 hours earlier than the "nationally scheduled" time.  I think the EPG should match what they show, but I'm on the east coast so I don't know for sure.  Unfortunately, there is currently no easy way to solve this - the best you can do (aside from just watching when things do come on) is to use the DVR to let you time shift yourself.

(If you are on the east coast, then I don't have an explanation for you 😊)

Thanks for the response.  I'm watching DirectTV Stream through the web based AT&T streaming box they gave me when I signed up for their service.  I have two of them.  Both show the same programming.  It's a little frustrating because H&I often advertises the schedule I was expecting when I'm watching other shows on their system.  Everything else I like to watch on their channel is right where it has always been except for JAG.  If you can help, I'd greatly appreciate it.

You are missing the point. The programs advertised by H&I are not being broadcast on Monday and Wednesday. H&I says they are broadcasting Nash Bridges on Monday, but Direct TV stream shows Police story. Then on Wednesday H&I says they are broadcasting JAG and Direct TV broadcasts Numbers. The guide shows what is being broadcast but not what H&I says they are broadcasting.

I don’t know of any way for DTV to invent different H&I content than what H&I is actually showing. Have you checked any other carrier (local broadcast, cable, etc.)?  If the difference is not just a time shift due to the time zone being other than Eastern, then it sounds like H&I’s announced program schedule doesn’t match what they are actually doing.  (FWIW, I’d assume that the company that provides DTV’s guide content gets their info from the networks, meaning from H&I in this case).

The main reason I asked the question is, with my previous TV service (Xfinity), they offered H&I and it broadcast JAG on Wednesday.  l'm also a big Star Trek fan so I enjoy the Sunday thru Friday airing of TOS, TNG, DS9, Voyager and Enterprise.  When I switched to AT&T, they set me up with the base TV package and I noticed right away that H&I wasn't on the list.  However, it was listed on the next package up so I did the upgrade to get H&I.  Everything I had watched before is there "except" JAG.  Of all the H&I programming I enjoyed, JAG is the only one that's not there.  It's not the end of the world really, but it's frustrating when I'm watching other shows on H&I and they keep advertising JAG on Wednesdays.

@Intrepid175 Refer to my previous comment. Streaming H&I programming is different than cable/antenna H&I programming. It says right on top of their website. Not sure how you can be frustrated when the info is on their website.
