On several, if you select the currently playing program (using the OK button in the center of the D pad on the DirecTV streamer, the center button on a FireTV, and so on) , it will bring up an overlay which includes at the bottom a CC/Audio button. Selecting that will offer options for controlling Closed Captioning and optional languages (where the choice "Default" is generally English). On iOS, selecting the program offers an icon at the top that looks like a "speech balloon" - selecting that will offer similar choices. I don't have other devices handy, but I assume they all offer something similar to those.
@Jrandomuser Thank you for your contribution to our Community! Your efforts and compromise are appreciated. Hi @RMVer thank you for reaching us. You will be able to check more information about SAP and how does it work. Let us know how it goes. Catalina, DIRECTV Community Specialist
@DIRECTVhelp - Hey Cataline - my "compromise"? Perhaps you need to work on those English classes? And when the user posts a question on a DirecTV Stream forum, providing info on how to do something on DirecTV isn't helpful. Or hasn't anyone bothered telling you reps that those aren't the same thing?
How can we improve?
