How to change the Time Zone for The Guide

Hello

My guide is in EST  so every show is on 4 hours earlier is there a way to change the guides time zone to Alaska time. I have all the location settings turned on and my billing address is correct.  I do get the local channels but all the other channels are on EST.

Thanks

It's always been like that since conception. All streaming services are configured like this. Cable is another story. Outside of locals the other channels are national broadcasts based on the Eastern Time Zone. There are no options to change the time.

Under Settings---system---general you can choose your time zone (stream box)

Local channels and regional sports are based on local time zone. The other channel lineups are eastern time zone.

That's the problem buy the time you sit down to watch tv all the shows are over and the old late night shows are on " im talking about the cable channels" is there a way to change that and if not do you know if they are going to implement that, not everybody lives on the east coast.

Thanks

@bcbsncjlj, if DIRECTV Stream was gonna make an update that will have the channels in the right time zone for those in the West coast, they might as well launch the update now, because it’s so disappointing to see people having to miss their shows because it’s the Eastern time zone. We all wanna see shows at the right time and not 3-4 hours earlier. If the update will come out, when will DIRECTV launch it?

@KingGamer I don’t know why you continue to post the SAME thing. It’s getting to a point where you are almost a programmed robot stating the same lines every post on this forum. If it doesn’t stop, you may face other penalties. To add on, it is very annoying that you pull up older posts. I see earlier you pulled up a thirteen year old post about the same thing, western and eastern channels.

If it goes on further, I will get banned for life from ever coming here. At this point, everybody here hates me and doesn't want me here. If that's what they want, I might as well do what they say and leave before anymore harm gets caused.

Directv satellite has never had multiple separate time zone feeds for most non-local programming and directv streaming does not either. I would be surprised if they ever do. What do you want, a separate set of servers and bandwidth for each time zone?  Just record anything you want to watch.

@TexasBrit, how about DIRECTV Stream can just automate the time zone feeds to the right time zone for each coast. For example, people in the East coast get the Eastern time zone feeds, and those in the West coast get the Western time zone feeds.

Or it can just be easier for DIRECTV Stream to offer both time zones. For example, they can carry these Western time zone feeds for some of the channels alongside their Eastern time zone feeds:

  1. A&E West (265-1)
  2. AMC West (254-1)
  3. Animal Planet West (282-1)
  4. BET West (329-1)
  5. Bravo West (237-1)
  6. Cartoon Network West (297)
  7. CMT West (327-1)
  8. Comedy Central West (249-1)
  9. Discovery West (278-1)
  10. Disney Channel West (291)
  11. Disney Junior West (289-1)
  12. Disney XD West (292-1)
  13. Food Network West (231-1)
  14. Freeform West (311-1)
  15. FX West (248-1)
  16. HGTV West (229-1)
  17. ION Television West (306)
  18. Lifetime West (252-1)
  19. LMN West (253-1)
  20. Logo West (272-1)
  21. MTV Classic West (336-1)
  22. MTV West (331-1)
  23. Nick Jr. West (301-1)
  24. Nickelodeon West (300)
  25. NickToons West (302-1)
  26. Oxygen West (251-1)
  27. OWN West (279-1)
  28. Paramount Network West (241-1)
  29. Syfy West (244-1)
  30. TBS West (247-1)
  31. TeenNick West (302-1)
  32. The HISTORY Channel West (269-1)
  33. TLC West (280-1)
  34. TNT West (245-1)
  35. Travel Channel West (277-1)
  36. TruTV West (246-1)
  37. TV Land West (304-1)
  38. Univision West (403)
  39. USA Network West (242-1)
  40. VH1 West (335-1)
  41. VICE West (271-1)
  42. WE tv West (260-1)

No one here in a open public forum can do anything. Voice your concern to support not other subscribers. You will get nowhere from here.

Not even if @DIRECTVhelp comes here and sees what I posted?

They've seen what you've posted. Multiple times. Give it a rest.

That would be appreciated.

To tell you, as @Jrandomuser stated in a post, recording a show and watching it 3 hours later can be clumsy. At this point, I just want DIRECTV Stream to release the update already, so then people in the West coast can finally get the right time zone feeds (the Western time zone feeds).
