How to search DVR recordings?
Am I missing something? When I search for a show, it only brings up the show page in the app, which only seems to include episodes available on demand and future airings - but NOT the episodes I have recorded.
How do I search the DVR? And is there any way to see on demand and recorded episodes of a show in the same place?

@pm80 I just confirmed FireTV behaves differently. Indeed, the Set to record or Recorded status doesn't show. I'm sure if that's a feature on Osprey, DIRECTV might be working already to have consistency across the board. Hope this helps.

When browsing inside the series page, apart from seeing VOD, you will see future airings (“Sunday 3:30p” status for example), bookings (“Set to record” status) and recordings (“Recorded” status). Hope this helps.

Thanks, that’s exactly the behavior I was hoping for! But it’s not what I see - my DVR recordings do not appear in the series page (I have verified the actual episode numbers are missing there), I only see them in the list of all DVR recordings. Bug maybe? This is on the Fire Cube app.

@pm80 let me try to reproduce it on my FireTV for you, but I tested this on my Osprey, and I can see the recorded episodes there. I'm recording The Office. Which series in specific are you seeing this on? It might be particular to a series also and not to a device.

Thanks, this is happening for all my shows that have DVR recordings, and I’m also realizing that the same behavior occurs in the iOS app for me so I guess it’s not an issue with the Fire app.
One show, just as an example, is American Justice (A&E). I have S13 E23 in my DVR, but on the series page that episode shows as airing in the future with no option to watch the recorded version.

@GTyz I just spoke with customer service who told me that recorded episodes don’t appear in series pages at all, and the only way to see recorded content is to scroll through the list of recordings… which doesn’t seem right to me? (And if it is, that’s a major UI flaw)

I was able to see them on my Osprey as "Recorded" with a red dot @pm80 . Maybe the rest of the devices behave differently BUT I doubt it. Give me some time to replicate it on my FireTV for you.

On Osprey, these are the 3 cases that I explained before, airing, set to record,
and recorded

@GTyz Yeah, that’s exactly how I was hoping it behaved (and what the customer service rep said it didn’t do, haha). I’ve noticed that if a DVR recording AND on demand version are available, it will behave correctly by showing me the “Ways To Watch” button, but if I only have a recording available, it doesn’t appear at all.
