iOS 16 update no audio with AV adapter
I had started a thread about after updating to iOS 16 the audio no longer works when I use a A/V adapter and this is what DIRECTV said, and closed my thread

Take into account that if your phone without AV adapter works fine in the app, the issue could be in the AV adapter

I need to mention that the audio was working on iOS 15 before the update, so it is not the adapter because I still get sound when I use any other video or sound application it’s only with DIRECTV app that the sound disappeared.

Yeah for sure but that’s why I’m posting on here because the employees read this and I am re-posting again because they closed my last thread saying that I need to replace the cable

Don't do that. It's not the cable. The service is just broken for iOS 16. Many have already reported the issue.

You're not alone. Clearly the app needs to be updated to support iOS 16. DirecTV is often slow with these sorts of updates.

Any updates on this?
I have the same problem. iOS 16 broke the audio output for my Apple lightening to HDMI adapter outputting to TV.
I tried 2 other adapters and the issue does not reside with the physical hardware.
My wife’s iPhone still worked on that adapter while it was on iOS 15, but when she upgraded, it failed as well.
video works, but without audio.
please work on a fix for this.

Make sure you contact support and report the issue. No one can fix the issue from here.
