Issues watching channels without guide information

Was watching MSNBC this afternoon somehow became impossible on my PC.  It appears to be an issue with the channel guide information.  MSNBC is running a special, but the guide returns the value "No Information Available", and I cannot select MSNBC while watching on my browser.  My phone gives the same "No Information Available" listing, but I can select the channel there.  I wonder what gives?

On a separate matter, I've noticed that the new season of "Air Disasters" on Smithsonian hasn't been recording on my DVR.  It looks like the episodes aren't being properly labeled in the guide, so the DVR does not recognize these as new episodes.  Would love it if DirecTV could get that one fixed as well; don't know if the problem is with DirecTV Stream or if it's with the cable channel (Smithsonian).
