Library shows dont keep last position watched on app

Say that you are watching any show recorded on the Library.  When finished watching, I am expecting that the "Resume" or "Watched" option is shown.  

But it is like you never watched as if you stop near the end (2 or less minutes before it ends) it asks you to play again.  If you have a lot of episodes it is very hard to know if you watched yet.

This is for directv stream app on Roku or on the web.  There should be something that I could do to mark it as already watched
