Live TV vs. DVR

I am using Apple TV as a stream device and will not even consider another alternative.  On that device, there is no option to prevent Live TV from starting as soon as the app is started.  I NEVER WATCH LIVE TV.  Also, when I skip-forward using the SIRI remote, it will sometimes skip to LIVE TV from the LIBRARY show that I was watching.  Very annoying.  Also, at times, I am never sure if I'm looking at the LIVE TV version of a show or the LIBRARY version, because there is no indicator in the line above the show as to which it is....and it almost always switches to the LIVE version (which I hate).  It's obvious that this app is developed from a system where LIVE is preferred and DVR is an after-thought.  YouTube TV was a much better UI.  BTW, the IPad app has the option of disabling LIVE TV at startup.

I think those options are on available for mobile devices. You notice they are greyed out meaning you can not change them.

Never been for steaming devices. iPad is considered a mobile device.
