For those of you experiencing the Roku issue---are you exiting out of the app using the "cancel / exit" popup? Or using the home button on the Roku remote? I know a couple of months ago firestick users had glitches when people weren't exiting out of the app using the exit popup and using the home button instead. U can usually get the exit popup by using the back button on your remote when using the Dtv Stream app. Check to see if the load issue happens after you exit with the app popup.

@Ludwick577 I don't know about everyone else, but we always just hit the home button on the Roku remote to exit out to open a different app from the main Roku page. We never did a full exit out and never had the issue we're now having with the app until about the past week or two.

@BlixStZoo Have you tried to "exit" out of the app using the exit popup to see if the loading issue you are experiencing still happens after? This would explain why some people are experiencing this issue and some aren't.

@Ludwick577  not sure why we'd have to do that as we never had to do that before. Plus there's no rhyme or reason as to when the app suddenly doesn't want to load causing us to have to delete and reinstall the app. Some days there's a problem once or twice a day, other days there's no problem at all.

@BlixStZoo I'm trying to troubleshoot the issue so Dtv can issue a fix. Again, a similar loading issue happened with Firesticks a few months ago --Dtv figured it out and a software fix was issued. And it had to do with users using the home button instead of the popup exit. That issue happened out of the blue as well. Can you exit using the popup box then start the app again.. I'm trying to help figure out what in the software is causing the glitch.

@Ludwick577  wow...I didn't think I was being hard headed in saying that there's no rhyme or reason and simply questioning why we should have to exit. I plan on trying it, but since the problem doesn't happen every time I was merely pointing out that it might take time to see if that is the issue.

The firestick issue had to do with the guide icons, no problem with the app loading.  Probably going to have to ride it out until the minds at Roku and Dstream figure it out.

@chasf00 The guide issues were happening because the app wasn't loading properly.

@BlixStZoo What is your current Dtv stream app software version? Do you know if there was a recent update?

@Ludwick577

Had that problem, app loaded and could be viewed. Seems the Roku problem is a tad different or the DIRECTVhelp team would not have reached out. Dstream never reached out about the firestick glitch. Those with the problem going to have to deal with it until resolved.

@BlixStZoo Looks like the 3.30 version came out around Aug 20th or so. Not everyone gets updates at the same time so that's probably why some people are seeing the issue--and some aren't.
