You always select the red reset button to restart the device. At worst, you can cut the power.

@ansky360 Yah but there was an update for the Roku Dtv Stream app a couple of weeks ago. Same thing happened with the firestick a few months ago. After the Dtv stream app updated on the firestick,  people using the home button to exit the app experienced glitches when re-loading. Same thing could be happening with the Roku now. Just trying to figure out the problem here so Dtv/Roku can fix it. Just b/c something hasn't happened in the past doesn't mean it can't happen now-- especially after a recent software update.

@a_cone I wasn't talking about exiting the app while the glitch/loading issue is happening. I'm talking about when the app is working correctly before the glitch starts. By using the exit popup and not the home button.

Trying to help seems like a futile effort...sometimes.

@Ludwick577  out of curiosity, when the glitch happened with the fire stick, did the app work sometimes and not work at other times?

Tried all of that many times before just trying to get DirecTv back up online after losing it after a recent storm. (See my previous comment). Now the only thing that works is deleting and reinstalling the app, at different times of the day and sometimes multiple times a day.

@ClamDigger That was for a different situation for a subscriber. This thread is about issues with Roku, primarily with the Ultra model.

@bcbsncjlj Thanks. I must have missed an offshoot thread. I responded going back to the original post about having to uninstall and reinstall the DIRECTV app on your Roku device(s) because of recent loading issue. Thought all of this was about that, which is the issue I've been dealing with for several weeks along with others.

There is a known outage today that DIRECTV STREAM is working on. A few other threads have gone over this.

It appears to be all.

@chasf00  my Roku Express wasn't working about an hour or two ago (got an error message for each channel) but it started working again about 20 minutes ago. As for the initial problem of having to delete and reinstall the app, that is still ongoing for me.

Reported some services back up now. That comment was 40 minutes ago. Things change.
