Local AM/FMWeatherband Radio
Since Cable and internet providers are able to bring FM radio and over the air TV into the home and supply it to TVs without a subscription so long as the connection to the internet was there, is there a way AT&T could build on that with a simple Ethernet connection to a QAM enabled Router/Modem configuration to achieve pass through of Local TV and FM Radio. Broadcasts as well as weather radio broadcasts. Depending on how certain houses are built people can obtain these things using 3 coaxial cables, 1 splitter and an internet modem/access point. Now is there a way to configure the AT&T device to utilize Ethernet directly to a modem or access point router for optimal performance?

DirecTV won't ever offer local radio stations.
The DirecTV Stream box does have a direct ethernet port connection if you don't want to use WiFi.
