Looking for Smithsonian Channel

You will need the Ultimate or higher package to get that channel.

Again, as I mentioned, I'm currently on a trial in which all channels are to be available. So, with that in mind, why is it not showing in the lineup.

On a different note, why do I have to get the most expensive package for one channel? Why can't it be available as an add on?

Just the way they market the subscriptions. As for the trial, I don't know. You can login to your account and see what package you have currently.

You can choose any package with the trial. If you don't have the Smithsonian channel then you chose the wrong package. U could have looked before signing up at each package if you wanted a specific channel. 

I have the Ultimate package and it's there --channel 570. It isn't in choice or entertainment packages. 

You can't get a la carte with any tv service--not cable, not satellite, not streaming.

Well then, again, this is a case of the store salesman just simply wanting to get a sale and telling me nothing factual. Simply amazing.

Don't you know how to do your own research? Everything is on the Dtv stream website. The store saleman is 3rd party. They aren't employed by Directv. 

Not the first and not the last. At least you are doing the trial. Cancel and explore other services for what you need.
