MAX 4K Downgrade

I get Max through my AT&T wireless service and received a notification from MAX on Deceber 5th the Max plan will remove 4K/Dolby Atmos features.  

My question to this forum is has anyone that subscribes to Max  through Directv/Directv Stream received such letter that the Max plan will go to the standard Ad free plan without 4K on December 5th?      I'm trying to see if I just subscribe to Max on my Directv stream service if that would allow me to keep the 4K service.

This recent change was initiated by MAX, not by DIRECTV. Subscribers of other cable TV providers like DISH Network, Xfinity, Comcast, etc also received this email. There's nothing the providers can do about it, they are simply following the protocol of MAX.
