My tv fastforwards it's self

What DirecTV Streaming app/device are you using?

Have you tried resetting it?

I use a gemini air stream and anytime we press the reset button the WHOLE tv resets 

What do you mean by the whole TV resets?  Are you pressing a button on your TV or pressing a button on the Directv Gemini Air?  Pressing the reset button on the Directv Gemini Air will only reset the Directv device, not your TV.

It makes me set everything up again. I press the button on the gemini. 

Then you are doing a factory reset. You just want to restart (not reset) your device. You can do that by unplugging and plugging back in. Or go into settings---system---device preferences----restart

I tried that it didn't change anything we even turned off the internet restarted the TV and turned back on the internet and ot kept doing the same thing especially on disney plus

So then are you having this issue using the Directv Stream service itself-----or just the apps on the device? Also--change the batteries in your remote.

So when I play normal tv it tries to fast forward but can't because it's live. It does it on streaming services and I changed to battery's yesterday? I have no clue. I have 4 tvs connected to geminis and only my living room tv does this. Starting to give up hope honestly
