New Samsung q80

We have a new Q80 and ever app works great but DirectStream.  It takes the picture 30-45 second to sharpen up to a sharp picture, it buffers and we have recorded shows that buffer.  We have no issues with Netflix, prime, Hulu or YoutubeTV so I know it isn’t our internet.  I’ve installed, reinstalled and firmware is updated. Techs at BestBuy said it’s a known issue and has been for awhile with Q series.  Anyone have any advice before to cancel and stay with YouTubeTV?

Same old store with the Samsung app like 100's of others have complained about for years. Get an external streaming device and save yourself a lot of misery. They are 100's of posts on the Samsung app. Suggest you read some posts and get familiar with all the issues and make your own opinion. There are no fixes.

Search the forum for Samsung app. Then purchase an external device. Preferably the DTV stream box--that's the best choice.

A $30 Roku or Firestick will solve this problem. The Samsung App is junk.

Your TV is fine... It's the DirecTV App that is your enemy.

When you read the responses in the forum you will see you have about three choices:

1. Live with the App's flaws until they correct the problems.

2. Buy a 3rd Party Device and suffer the indignity of purchasing a great TV you can't use to it full potential because of an App.

3. Contact Spectrum or Verizon and get one of their Streaming offers to replace DirecTV Stream.

Is it really such a great "indignity" to use an external streaming device when they're so much better than the junk Samsung App?  $30 to solve that issue is hardly an "indignity".  But keep posting the same rant if it makes you feel better because it's not likely to trigger DirecTV to fix it any sooner.

I personally don't expect them to fix the issue but you seem to think a miracle will happen.
