No ESPN plus price increase?
I am a longtime DTV Stream customer who has recently experienced the loss of ESPN & all Disney-related channels like ABC. Then a week later I received notice up an upcoming pricing increase. The timing seems to indicate a brain dead company approach. Who drops major services and increases prices at the same time?

Hi Randerto. As programmers, including The Walt Disney Company, continue to raise rates, our costs to deliver their content continues to rise. While Disney holds their programming to demand unreasonable price increases, we are providing customers with assistance at TVpromise.com. Disney and other major programmers routinely demand double-digit increases that grow exponentially year upon year. Kharl, DIRECTV Community Specialist

I entirely understand the rising cost of content across the industry but the timing around announcing price increases the week after dropping Disney/ESPN/ABC defies common logic as viewed through any customer-centric lens...

Agreed, this price increase should have come after a compromise with Disney. FUBO offers more channels and a lower price. They also allow streaming on up to 4 devices instead of 2 by Direct tv stream. Thanks for playing the game Direct tv. You lose because now consumers are looking for other comparable cheaper options

The timing was based on the Disney contract, not DirecTV. You should really voice your concern to Disney, who pulled the channels, not DirecTV.

The price increase should have come after an agreement with Disney. FUBO offers more channels at a lesser cost and up to 4 devices can stream at the same time. Direct tv loses because now formally content customers are shopping for better cheaper options. Good luck with your power play. FUBO here I come.

DirecTV Stream offer unlimited stream to devices. Good luck with FUBU. If the service offers you what you need, then you should leave. Just be prepared for contract negotiations where ever you go.

It says your not an employee but you have all of Direct TV information phone number under your post. WOW. Also I did not sign up to the Disney channel network. I signed up to Direct TV stream with a promise of certain channels. Good thing they r month to month. Makes it easier to leave.

No problem. Telephone numbers are available from the website. Just a footnote for subscribers who can't manage to surf the web.
Just a note: DirecTV Stream still offers the channel - Disney is just not providing the content.

You statement is incorrect or misleading. They only allow 2 tv devices to stream at one time. That is why I get the notification that there r to many streaming devices when I try to watch on a third tv.

Thanks for say I can go to FUBO. If it is a better service and cheaper why would I not switch. The point of the comment was to state Direct tv has opened the door for people to switch. Disney is at fault also but I do not have a subscription with them. Also good work on all the community awards. How do you get them?
