Numeric Channels and KTLA on Directv Stream

I am absolutely frustrated with Directv Stream.  I have been trying all day to find the numeric guide CHANNEL NUMBERS!!! This is the US.  How dare you pretend you're so unaware that humans in America look for channel numbers.  You have made this some weird fringe question that only lost customers debate in forums.  Be an adult and address this directly.  Can we see channel numbers OR NOT in direct tv stream?  And I am looking for local KTLA 5 in Los Angeles on Directv stream.  I have the Premiere package.  Do i have this or NOT!  Customer service is disgusting.

If you use the DirecTV Stream device you can set it to show the guide numerically or alphabetically. The apps only show them alphabetically, because most of the remotes for the devices do not have numeric key pads.

As far as locals, most areas have the big 4 networks with a few extras in some markets. You can look up what locals are available in your area here: https://www.directv.com/stream/channel-lineup/
Select "Regional Sports and Local"

as lou-do posted, most of the apps do not have the ability to display the numeric ordered guide. The Directv stream device does this fine. So this problem is a limitation in your app not the DirecTv stream service.

Let's look into that for you, @rdla!

To check your DIRECTV STREAM channel lineup,
please check this link and click on "DIRECTV STREAM channel lineup" to download the guide.

For the Local channels
you can go to this link and confirm with your zip code the local channels available for you and their channel number.

We hope this helps!

Apps don't show a numeric guide. Get a stream box.

APPs do absolutely show the channel numbers.   You need to goto filter and select sort by channel # and like magic the numbers appear.  DUH

I have the Direct TV stream app I downloaded from the Samsung store, and I do NOT have the option to sort numerically. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app, but no option to sort numerically. However, if I use a Roku stick, I do see this option. I would prefer to use the app available to my Samsung TV and not a Roku stick.

I am talking about the app, and not the box. The app on Roku allows you to sort numerically. However, the app from the Samsung store for a Samsung TV does NOT allow it.

Dtv stream box has the option to sort by number. Some of the apps have the choice to sort numerically, but not the Samsung app. Firestick, Roku, and I think Apple tv has that option. This was recently added to the apps for those devices. Maybe the Samsung app will add that feature in the future since this is a new option for apps.

Hi, there.

Everyone is right about the option of numerical option on both the stream box and the app. You will just have to choose the option when you choose guide.

Unfortunately, I have bad news about KTLA 5, but good news if you are only looking to just watch the live, local news.

Bad News: Just to give you a head's up, DirecTV stream formally AT&T TV never had KTLA 5. Unfortunately, KTLA 5, KDOC-TV, and some other local channels were removed for the AT&T lineup years ago due to negotiations. It looks like they have not resolved the disagreement. Maybe one day. They finally got the deal done with the Dodgers and SportNet LA.

Good News: If you want to see live KTLA 5 news, you can download their new KTLA Plus app onto the Apple TV, Roku, and other streaming devices. That's how I watch the live new when it airs on my Apple TV. This is a great option if you're just trying to watch the KTLA 5 News Live.

Good luck!
