Yes, unfortunately, the on-demand portion of Directv Stream is lacking and there is a lot to be desired.  But it is what it is.  On the main networks such as ABC, CBS, and NBC you can generally find missed shows as long as you are not trying to watch an episode that was on over a month ago. For most other networks it is a hit-and-miss with what they have for the content listed.  Some channels have nothing at all and in my opinion, if they have no on-demand programming for that channel then it should not be listed under the on-demand channels.  But I am glad that I am not the only one who has noticed how bad the on-demand is.

On-demand is not controlled by DirecTV Stream. They only offer what the networks provide.

@Tiger593  I was just asking my husband last night since we are new and only on day 2 of our 5 day trial if for instance I missed an episode of one of my regularly recorded shows or my soap if it would be on demand for me to watch later and than I see your post. We haven't really looked at alot of the on demand stuff but we don't have that now with our cable company Spectrum we use Tivo. Maybe with the Spectrum app we have access to some but I am hoping we like this and end up keeping it cause of all of our problems with Spectrum.

@Rose4uKY  I have done a lot of live streaming and tried almost all available services and in my opinion, I feel that Directv is the best fit for me.  They are the only streaming service that you can watch up to 20 devices at home and have 2 TVs away and another device and are able to stream away from home making it possible to share with family members.  Plus with their stream box if you decide to keep the service I would recommend getting their stream box as it is set up for a more user-friendly experience making it more like cable/satellite.  Plus it has a remote control that has voice commands which I use all the time.

@Tiger593  Well Spectrum gave us a deal for 1 yeat $40 and all premium channels it expires in Sept and I got them to give me the same deal but this time Starz and Encore weren't on the rentention deal so I added it for $9. So were on this special deal till Sept of next year but we've had so many problems and mostly with tuning adapters that we decided it's not worth keeping. But we wanted all the channels and I needed HBO Max so we chose the highest package here.

So now we will be paying more of course but not have to worry about all these error messages from Tivo/Spectrum  and channels not coming in. I like hearing peoples experiences who came from Tivo to here and this seems like the next best thing.

I told someone earlier we almost did it months ago but I remember one channel we wanted wasn't on here but maybe now it is I can't remember. But yes I ordered 3 renewed boxes at $49.99 each One for our main room and one for our bedroom and one for my office which we have Tivo Minis now and a Tivo Bolt which has a lifetime which I am hoping to sell. Anyway sorry my post tend to ramble on but I am glad we switched and after getting the boxes I hope we love it even more. So with the voice command on a recorded TV show you can say FF 3 minutes like I do with my Tivo remote or just do the 30 second skip 3 or 4 times is that right?

@Rose4uKY  You are fine your comment may be a little longer than some but I understand what you are saying and that is the important thing. Yes, with the remote on a recorded show you can tell it to skip whatever amount of time you want, and yes if you push the FF button it will FF at different speeds but if you push the right arrow next to the ok button it will skip 30 sec forward you can also do the same thing in rewind with the left arrow but it only jumps back 15sec.

Thanks! I appreciate it just got notifications our boxes will be here tomorrow. Wish I had ordered them a day sooner since I am off today but oh well hubby is off tomorrow. But we wanted to be sure we are going to like the change and the devices said 14 days so we will give it a shot. I have my soap recorded today but am still going to watch Tivo while we have it until we get the boxes.
