Playing Hulu on Directv Stream Box

Mine was working up to a couple of days ago and now it is doing the same things as yours.  I have heard rumors that Hulu was supposedly not going to support the Directv platform anymore, but I have also heard that Hulu is working to fix this problem.  But who knows what to believe because nothing has been confirmed either way.

Yea, I have had a ticket ongoing with Hulu. They say alot but no real idea of what the issue is ....unless dtv and Hulu have parted ways. No one will commit to that either.

@Tiger593 Is your subscription ad supported? They have not parted way b/c my Hulu works fine for me. 

Interesting. I am having no success. It only has issue on my Sony TV's. Phone and Laptop are fine.

It is the directv box's Hulu that is the problem---with ad supported subscriptions. 

Ludwick577 my subscription is not ad-supported it was working till a few days ago for me it is not a big deal as I watch more of the DIRECTV STREAM but when I did talk to Hulu I was told this is a known issue on their end 

It looks like Hulu mad a change but did not test it on all the platforms, so I assume this will be fixed.

We have two homes and use the Directv Stream boxes in both.  One has a Sony TV and the other a Samsung.  Neither will play Hulu shows.  The app opens ok but when you select a show, an error code appears which walks you through steps which obviously do not solve the problem since our computer and IPad work fine.  I spent 45 minutes on the phone with Britney from Hulu and she worked diligently to solve the problem but could not.  This thread explains why she wasn't successful so thanks everyone for sharing their issues.  I found I can access Hulu directly through the TV with the DirecTv box off and Hulu works fine.

ront21028, you shouldn't have to do that. I can do that but it's a pain when all the other companies are there. So you wind up going ..... Ok, for netflix I do this and for hulu I do this....etc

Well, I was told just 5 mins ago by Hulu that this is a known issue and that they are working on fixing it but said that they do not know how long it will take them because there not sure what caused it! So I hope this helps everyone that is having problems with Hulu!  If you contact them they might be able to give you some credit toward your next bill!

Tonight Hulu stopped playing on my DIRECTV streaming. Hulu Help Desk said Hulu does not work on DIRECTV (inspire of it working for a month, plus downloaded from Google Play). Same goes for all Disney channels. 
Got this error msg.

Have you tried deleting and reinstalling the Hulu App?

Yes, did that twice. Also rebooted DIRECTV, unplugged tv, on the phone with Hulu for over an hour (not including the first two calls with them that were dropped). Very frustrating. Finally they went to Level 2 (or so I was told) and they informed us the Hulu and DIRECTV are not friends. That’s corporate America, always looking out for the customer.
