Problem casting to Vizio SmartCast TV

I’ve never had a problem casting to my Vizio SmartCast TV until about a week ago.  Now, when I attempt to cast it to the TV (from either my iPhone or iPad) it attempts to cast but then the screen goes blank.  I’ve troubleshooted everything with the TV itself and it still does this.  I can still cast from other apps to that same TV with no issue so it just stands to reason that there is an issue with the DIRECTV Stream app and its casting function.  Please help.

We would like to share that we are aware of this situation. There is a national outage with VIZIO televisions with the DIRECTV STREAM app using the cast feature. Our technical and engineer teams are working 24/7 to get this fixed as soon as possible.

I noticed the same thing this morning!  Spent an hour on the phone with vizio but they didn’t mention an outage.  Has this been fixed?

Apparently the DIRECTVhelp reps get paid bonuses to hide things from the forum users.  It doesn't really matter, since I've never seen any signs that they are able to actually... you know... help...

You problem is content protection. You should download the smart tv app and if it’s not available you can get DIRECTV to send you a streaming box for your tv.
