Ready to CANCEL due to CRASHING
I have a Firestick. Have had it for more than a year. We are having VERY SIMILAR problems to others I have seen posting. Trying to watch the game, and it crashes, freezes, just dies, or won't open. Other channels work. It tells me there is no Internet... yet, if I run the diagnostic, it reports full access and speed. Ads and promos always work. If I clear the cache of the DirecTV app, SOMETIMES I can get the YES channel to work... but it won't STAY working. It will freeze, or lose audio. It only started doing this about a week or two ago. Other networks are fine. (Youtube, Paramount+)

Dtv Stream works fine on my Firestick. No crashing for me. Ever.

Well, it STARTED crashing only after a recent update, so there's that. I have seen a number of other complaints online about this same problem.

My Firestick locks up. The picture freezes on the screen. Repeatedly. Sometimes the sound goes away while the picture stays playing. All this during the Yankees games we subscribed to DirecTV to be able to watch!! *ALL* other channels are fine. We can watch shows on Paramount + or Youtube for HOURS, and have NO issues. Thus, I know it is NOT my system. When we try to watch DTV, and we get these kinds of issues. Sometimes, exit and re-launching the app fixes it. Sometimes not. We are very annoyed. More than once, it's a critical moment in the game, and *POINK!* everything stops. Dead.

@Williebthe3rd may I ask which model is your Fire Stick? It could also be identified by a generation. I think you have a very old Fire Stick that is unable to handle the streaming of live TV via DIRECTV STREAM. I’m sure YouTube and Paramount + work fine because they have on demand content, not live content.
