Recording starting in midrecording
I have a Sony tv and my recordings will often start up in the middle. I have to rewind to the beginning to watch them. This does not occur on my iPad.

Sony Tv's don't have a Dtv Stream app. Are you using a device with your tv?

Try deleting and reinstalling the DirecTV Stream App on your FireStick.

I am having the same issue with playback on recorded shows. I’m using an Amazon Fire Cube.
I have cleared the cache on the Directv Stream app and also deleted and reinstalled the Directv Stream app to no avail.
The issue happens on various recorded shows, the playback starts midway through the recording and you have to rewind to get back to the beginning.
Also if I watch a recorded show partially then exit the recording and come back to it later even though I select “resume” it will start the recorded show back at the beginning again.
And if I fast forward by either using the 1X fast forward or the several second skip once I stop fast forwarding the recorded show will bounce right back to the beginning of the show again and I have to fast forward the recording to where I’d stopped watching, all over again.
I’ve only had Directv Stream for a couple of months and this problem with trick play on recorded shows only started happening about two weeks ago.
I prefer to watch Directv Stream on my Amazon Fire Cube but I am going to try watching on Apple TV to see if the problems occur there as well.
I’ve been pretty happy with Directv Stream so far, over all but this issue is so frustrating that I’m actually considering going back to my previous live TV streaming service but I’d really prefer not to need to.
Thank you to the original poster for bringing up this issue, at least I know that I’m not the only one experiencing it.
