Roku Fast Forward
Just signed up with Directv Stream. I'm using a Roku. (Tried using my Chromecast with Google TV but that was even worse.) I'm watching live sports that's currently recording. So I start it from the beginning of the broadcast and want to be able to fast forward at times. Using the Roku's fast forward button, I have to quickly press Play to stop it from continuing to forward but, when I do, the screen stays darkened with the button choices still at the bottom for a good couple of seconds, which is a long time when you're trying to watch sports. Am I doing something wrong? Is there a way to simply fast forward 15 or 30 seconds at a time and then pretty much instantly be back on a full screen? This is how it works with YouTube TV. I hope I've explained this well enough. Thanks for any help.

Hi, @darnyc. We understand how you prefer to have the program instantly play after fast forwarding. We'll forward this idea to our programming team, so they can further review and determine the next steps. You may try pressing OK while watching/recording a show, then you'll see a 30-sec forward button beside the pause button. DIRECTV appreciates your feedback. 💙

Thanks. I'll await any further suggestions. It's not so much that I expect the return to playing to be instantaneous after fast forwarding. The problem for me is more that it begins to play while the screen is still darkened and has the button choices still showing at the bottom of the screen for two or three seconds. A short delay after fast forwarding is fine. But when it begins to play again, I should be able to see the entire screen unencumbered. I hope that's clear enough. Thanks again.
