roku remote
My Roku remote is having issues with DirecTV and only Directv. It will skip multiple channels when trying to move up or down one channel on the guide. It also does this when trying to move left or right with the remote. It started this about a week ago.

If you can, go to your TV’s settings and choose shut down or restart, that should reset the remote’s misbehavings.

I have the same issue - again! This is my second ROKU remote and it's so frustrating. I need to change my password on this TV but the remote skips over the letters too fast, so I can't update. I guess I have to buy another remote! All I can watch is LIVE TV. I tried updating the software to no avail. My other apps on the TV are fine.

Power your tv and Roku down properly - go to settings and then shut down. This will re calibrate the remote. Basically, when your Roku or tv device is set to “quick start” or “fast start” the tv never shuts all the way down and eventually the remote will loose calibration.
