Second house access

I have a vacation home and primary residence.  Do I need a Direct TV Streaming device at both locations?  Or just the primary one?

You need a streaming device at both locations. They don’t have to be DIRECTV STREAM/Gemini boxes though, can just be a Fire stick, roku, or Apple TV. As a note, away locations only get 2 simultaneous streams using a streaming device (3 if you use a phone, tablet)

Thank you. Same for each TV in my primary residence?

Yes. However since your primary residence is the main location, you are given 20 simultaneous streams. Meanwhile, your away location is granted 2 simultaneous streams for streaming devices or 3 if you use a tablet, phone.

I am able to watch direct tv stream in my vacation home, but I cannot get the installed app to show up on the face of my Samsung tv. Is it because the app will only be there for my home address?
