series recording management
How do I manage the series that I've set my DVR to record? With UVerse I could pull up a list of the series I was recording and make changes.

Unfortunately, there isn't a manager for series recording. This is a feature that has been requested since the DVR was added to the service 4 1/2 years ago or so. There have been more improvements added in the ~8 months since DirecTV became a separate company than in years under AT&T, so perhaps this will now be added at some point.
In the meantime, you need to go to the page for the series in question by searching for it or selecting the series name (rather than an episode) on the DVR screen. On the series page you will see the option for canceling the series recording if it is enabled (or start it if it's not) - that's really the only "management" available.
