Solve the problem with ESPN & ABC!
So I sat down about 20 minutes ago to watch the Braves/Phillies game, and all I get is a message that the channel is having a problem with the video feed. After googling, I find out that the problem isn't with ESPN or the video feed--it's with you guys! My bill comes due tomorrow, and this is completely unacceptable. Do something, and do it fast! I've dropped better streaming services than DirecTV because of this behavior. Do whatever you have to do before 7 pm tomorrow, because I'm pretty sure I'm not going to pay for this.

There is a contract dispute between DirecTV and Disney and Disney made DirecTV remove the programing from the lineup until it is resolved.

Disney wants even more money for the same programming.
They had the same issue with another provider. The negotiations eventually ended with fewer niche channels and access to the ad-filled version of Disney+.
Maybe DirecTV will end up with the same solution. Nobody here knows.

Channels are never guaranteed by any provider.

I tried getting out of DirecTV and accessing the game through the ESPN app (I use Roku, if that makes any difference). Once I signed in to ESPN through my "provider," i.e., DirecTV Stream, the app showed me a message that "the ESPN networks are no longer part of your video lineup." It goes on to give a website for further information: KeepMyESPN.com. I'd suggest you go to that website, because that appears to explain the situation. No manner of rebooting, downloading apps, etc. is going to work, it seems, because DirecTV has pulled the plug on Disney-owned channels. You're probably noticing, like I am, that we DirecTV subscribers are getting information from sources outside of DirecTV, in spite of paying DirecTV a hefty sum of money each month! And if I sound angry, it's because I am.

HO! Very interesting about shutting down the login portal! Here's my thing: I do get that channel lineups are not guaranteed, like baseballisback said (and BTW love the username). However, I have a problem with the lack of communication from DirecTV so we subscribers can make informed choices--key word being "informed". I switch from YouTubeTV to DirecTV every baseball season, since YouTubeTV stopped carrying Bally regional sports networks. There have been times that YouTubeTV got into channel disputes, and the company emailed subscribers to tell us that certain channels might be lost and actually told us the date of the deadline. That's the kind of customer service I expect and what I think is fair.

And Provoltes, thank you for being a Brother in Arms. Or Brother in TV, anyway. If enough of us speak up, we have a chance of making something happen.

Thanks for the link, wesstl. Informative article. Neither Disney nor DirecTV strike me as heroes in this fight but, unfortunately, we're the ones suffering--if you can call not seeing a baseball game suffering, LOL.

YouTube tv doesn’t have the Bally Sports Regional networks. If I get rid of DTV Stream it will be the end of paying for live tv. Can I live without baseball????
