Still records blacked-out feed of game when both options are available.

Is it really true that DirecTV Stream still has not fixed the issue of it choosing to record blacked-out game feeds when both options are available?  This has been an ongoing issue for at least the last two years, and I’m shocked that it’s still not fixed.  There are literally dozens of complaints about this online - it’s most definitely a “known” issue.

I choose to record one baseball team.  DTVS is one of the only legal ways to watch this team, so every baseball season I pause my YouTubeTV service and suffer through DirecTV for 6 months.  One of the biggest gripes the last few years was DTVS repeatedly choosing to record blacked-out feeds over non-blacked-out feeds.  I refuse to give them my money any longer than I have to until they fix this problem, which is why I always switch back to YouTube TV when the season is over.  I was hoping that maybe DTVS was now good enough that I could just stay with them all year, but here we are at GAME 2 of the season, and there is no way I can go back to the beginning of a game that’s in progress because the system AGAIN chose to record the blacked-out ESPN feed over the SportsNetLA feed, even though I set up the team recording on the SportsNetLA channel.

Is there something I’m missing?  The system is smart enough to automatically switch me to an available stream if I choose a blacked-out stream of a live game in progress, but it’s not smart enough to make sure it records the available stream?   So frustrating.

We understand that it can be frustrating to continue experiencing this issue with the blackout games. We are currently unable to prioritize recordings. This matter requires attention from our technical team in order to implement a solution that ensures the system records from the correct feed, especially when multiple options are available. Please feel free to reach out to us via DM to further review this situation and work on a resolution. Natalia, DIRECTV Community Specialist

Does the mean it IS being worked on?  Most of the responses I’ve seen to posts about this issue have said a variation of the same thing - that it’s something that the technical team needs to address, but it doesn’t seem like any action is actually being taken.  Will contacting you via DM ensure that action is finally being taken?
