Streaming Paramount Plus on Directv

You can't stream Paramount+, or any other streaming service, with DirecTV Satellite. You'll need a separate streaming device, like Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire, etc. And note that this is the DirecTV Stream forum, which is a different service than DirecTV Satellite. 

Stormy87, I would like a simple answer to your question you asked, cause I also have Direct Tv & would like to get to watch the new series 1883.  

How much simpler can the answer be.

I signed up and it said I have an Account, but I cannot get it to show up on my tv??

@crystalwoman , if you want information on Paramount+, then you should contact Parmount+, CBS, Viacom, or some agency that actually has something to do with Paramount+.  DIRECTV is not such an entity.

Crystalwoman, I understand your frustration I went to the Paramount web site & I also was not sure of what I was doing so I stopped the process. I was just going to get the $4.99 package. I wonder if there is a contact phone# so someone can walk you through the process. It may be that your tv is too old like mine is a 2013 Vizio smart tv. I saw some posts that said you have to have Amazon or some app to be able to get it. I have an Amazon fire tablet but would prefer to see it on my tv.

Also, this is the dtv stream forum.....not dtv satellite. 

Crystalwoman & sugarsocks Yellowstone got you hooked like me & a novice to all this tech stuff?!? Go to Best Buy if you have one or something similar. They will fix you up. Basically Paramount Plus streams online which means it is not on what we know as TV rather on your phone, IPad or laptop, but we want to watch on the TV screen. You have the package now you need an Apple TV box (not a new TV) think of it as an antenna which allows your TV to work like a newer model costs about $120 one time purchase. You can then access Paramount Plus on phone, Ipad, etc. and project it on your TV screen. I know nothing about this stuff but figured it out quickly. Even have The Seal Team. Sorry others were so rude.

Can you use anything besides an Apple TV box?

No idea. Paramount Plus has nothing to do with DirecTV Stream. Paramount Plus is a streaming service just like DirecTV Stream. I would view their website to determine requirements. 

Paramount plus is available on Firestick, Android TV, Roku, Directv Stream box. I use my Dtv stream box to watch shows on plus.

The simple answer is:

If your Smart TV can connect to the internet, you can download the Paramount+ App and Stream its programming over the internet.

Without an internet connection you're doomed...
