Streaming with a Roku device out of home market
I understand the limitations on using DirectTV Stream out of my home market. I have two homes, one in Ft. Lauderdale, FL (my home market) and another in Wilmington, NC. Since I haven't mastered being in two places at one time, I will typically only be streaming on one device at a time (DirectTV stream box when I am in FL) and Roku TV in NC. My question is will I get the correct local channels when I am in NC? Some of the things I read here lead me to believe I will get the the Florida locals even though that is contrary to everything I know about the regulations regarding local TV broadcasts, so I need clarification before I subscribe. I know YouTube TV allows me to do this correctly (with locals being correct based on IP address geolocation, but DirectTV does not seem as clear on this.

Remember that local channel availability is based on your billing ZIP Code and market area.
Depends on your device and if that device has location services or GPS. Roku's and Fire Sticks do not have either so you should receive your Florida locals. Your mobile devices (phones, tablets, computers) should receive the Wilmington locations. My son lives in Wilmington and uses my subscription and he receives my home based locals using Roku and Fire Sticks but his mobile devices receive the Wilmington based locals.

Ah that pretty much is what I was afraid of. I will be using a Roku TV primarily out of market and I want the local stations without the need for an antenna. I guess YouTube TV is going to be it for me.
