Subscription sports packages on Stream

We'd been DirecTV (DTV) customers for 22 years, but have moved to a place where satellite reception gets interrupted by weather far too often. So, we're considering DirecTV Stream as an alternative.

Before we commit, we're trying to find the answer to two questions: We subscribed to two sports services the whole time we were with DTV, and have not had any luck finding out if they are available on DTV Stream... So, can anyone tell us if MLB Extra Innings is available on Stream? And ditto for the Regional Sports package (primarily Bally) that allows you to see not only your region's games, but those from other regions as well. Is this available on Stream?

Thanks!

Bally's sports (RSN's) are available with Choice package and above that is one reason I sub to Dtv Stream. MLB extra innings isn't available thru Dtv stream but you can get the MLB tv app and get it thru that.

AT&T doesn't own DirecTV anymore - they spun it off as a separate company (though they are the majority stockholder).  This may well be a good thing - under AT&T, the streaming service (at least) seemed to get few resources for adding improvements, and it certainly didn't add them.  Under separate ownership, we've seen some, with (one hopes) more to come.

Sports packages may be part of that - we don't know yet.  With regard to your question that wasn't answered - no, they don't offer out of region RSNs.  It is possible that they can't - some content providers (and in the case of sports, also leagues and teams) have restrictions on streaming that don't apply to cable or satellite.  But if they can, I'd think that would be a differentiator (and revenue stream) they explore.

Only sports package available now is NBA league Pass. Also can’t get sports pack like on satellite. You only get you RSN channels in your area.

Make sure you check the local channels and local sports lookup for your zip code before subscribing. Like you I was a satellite customer for many years and had to switch over to Stream when we bought our summer home, due to neighbors trees.

I now subscribe to the MLB-TV app and ESPN+ and it works good for me, but do miss the Extra Innings and Center Ice.

Packages and premium subscription are available on the website. Have you visited the website and reviewed optios?

Thank you for the input; it's appreciated - and yes, I had searched the website before posting my question. The thing is, in my 21 year history as a DTV subscriber, I've noticed several times that their channel listings are not always up to date on their website. (Weird how Extra Innings is not available directly from Stream... you'd think if you can get it on DTV, you could get it on Stream. But thank you for the work around!)

You need to understand that DirecTV and DirecTV Stream are 2 different paid subcription services that are not related. Just because one service offers a channel does not mea another service offers the same line-up. If the channels are a requirement then you the subscriber needs to make that decision on what service is best.

The primary benefit I want is the service to be available where ever I travel (USA). Cable services don't offer that benefit for me thus a live streaming service. I am willing to lose a little to get what I want.

I realize, with some disappointment, that Stream is not really DTV (read on to see why the disappointment); it's just AT&T renaming one of their services to piggyback on the DTV name that they own. But that is not how Stream was pitched to us by an AT&T representative. Hence my disappointment in finding Extra Innings must be obtained elsewhere.

Actually its not an AT&T product anymore but an DirecTV product thus the name change from AT&T TV Now.
