Tech Support?

So a user / customer figured out the fix for the audio lag issue over 2 years ago with little to no help from Technical Support. Customer stumbled around settings changing things until he or she figured out that 1080p lags and 720 doesn’t. Thanks so much to that customer for sharing the fix. This was 2 YEARS AGO and still Tech Support hasn’t gotten the issue fixed. They didn’t find the fix and can’t seem to let the programmers know that 1080p has this issue and to build a patch to fix the bug. Meanwhile the customer is either toggling the settings from 720 for this peach of an app Directv offers to 1080 for everything else. Or just bring every other app down to Directv’s 720 half-(Edited per community guidelines) quality. Come on Directv. We know you can do better! FIX THE ISSUE!

Audio lag can be caused by many different issues with various devices. I have one TV that has audio lag. I move the DirecTV Stream device from the Sharp TV to my Samsung TV, and with the same device it goes away. Also When I feed it to my sound bar I have to make delay adjustments to prevent sound delay.
I also have Spectrum cable and audio lag is worse than DirecTV Stream.

Hi there, the common fixes for this issue are: Change the channel. Changing channels helps to match up the audio sound and video. Rewind the program you're watching. If you have a DVR, go back a few seconds, then fast-forward to return to the live broadcast. Using surround sound? Try using the TV speakers only to test if the surround sound system is causing the issue. Refer to the manufacturer’s manual for additional troubleshooting help. We'll send you a PM to gather more information and provide proper assistance. Jairo, DIRECTV Community Specialist
