The Guide

Thank you for the quick response but you still didn't answer my question. So we just switch from youtube tv. The guide could be personalized for my daughter on her TV, for my husband on his TV in his man cave, and for the TV in our bedroom. 

Will the guide  Favorites be the same for all the TV's? Or can everyone personalize their own guide?

They are no profiles or customization of the guide outside of using a favorite list. But that will be used for all.

At this moment that option is not available, what you can do it's personalize a general guide for your DIRECTV STREAM account, using the steps that the previous agent shared with you.

Why do the Samsung remotes not work correctly with the DirecTV Stream app? I have 3 different Samsung remotes on Samsung Smart Tv's and none of them work correctly.  If you hit the guide button on any of the Samsung remotes it takes you out of the DirecTV app and returns you to the Samsung Free TV app. The same thing happens with the page up/down toggle button. This appears to be a programming error on your part. It is a real pain because you have to restart the DirecTV app each time you hit these buttons my mistake. The Spectrum TV app which I also use on SamsungTV's works just fine.  The page up/down and guide buttons work on my Samsung remote with the Spectrum app.  Is there a fix for this or are you working on fixing this issue?

Mainly because the Samsung app is junk and has always been. There has been issues with the app since conception. 100's of posts on the issue and little has been improved. You want a better viewing experience then go with a true streaming device.

No matter what remote one uses, navigation happens within the app itself. The app has it's own guide.

The QN75Q6FNA and UN32N5300 models are compatible with our service. If you haven't yet, please try reinstalling our DIRECTV STREAM App in both TVs, this is to make sure you're getting our latest software version.

@SteveHollis If you want a device with a remote that works with the service get a Directv Stream box. Their box has a remote with numbers you can use to change channels. The remote also has buttons for the guide, record, previous channel. FF and rewind work better than the apps as well.
