The ONLY thing keeping me from switching from YTTV to DTV Stream is the DVR - any plans to upgrade it?

I would switch from YTTV to DTV stream tomorrow if the DVR capabilities were closer to YTTV's. They have unlimited recording and 9 month retention. 90 days is just not enough for us. Make it 9 months in the same way as YTTV and we're switching.

Are there any plans at all to increase the retention time on the DVR?

There are no current options to add time to the 90 days of saved recording, just the option to increase the 20 hour recording to unlimited, for $10.00 a month.

Thanks, that's too bad. For us that's just too short (and I know talking to a lot of YTTV users who are looking for a new home with the NBC issue looming, that is a factor for them too.) Not criticizing them, just feedback.

Since I switched to DTV Stream, you will discover as I did that there are SO MANY  missing dvr functions/features. Glad you highlighted this difference. I had wrngly assumed the shows remained until space was needed. I was not aware of 90 day deletion. I will probably find another service.

Ive been with direct since day one when the price was $35 and I was always told the DVR would have better capabilities, in the future. Seems like if my price keeps going up I definitely should not have to pay an extra $10 for more DVR space!!
