Trouble loading content at startup

I have been a DirecTV Stream subscriber for about 5 years since it was DirecTV Now.  I stream on multiple TVs using Firesticks.  A few months ago I started having trouble with the app.  On all TVs, I often receive a message stating something along the lines of "Looks like we are having trouble loading this content, please try again later."  The error code usually is all zeros.  The message appears when I open the DirecTV Stream app.   

I have tried clearing the cache, deleting other apps to free up memory, uninstalling and reinstalling the DirectTV Stream app, and resetting the Firestick to factory settings.  None of those efforts worked.  The only thing that works is rebooting the Firestick.  This is beyond aggravating to have to reset the Firestick almost every time I want to watch DirectTV Stream.  I tried speaking to customer service and using the chat function, and both were useless.  The instructions are always the same - unplug the TV and streaming device, uninstall and reinstall the app, and factory reboot.  One customer service representative even told me they can't help customers that use the app. 

Does anyone know how to fix this?  I am ready to cancel.  DirecTV Stream is way too expensive for this problem.  Getting the box is not an option; too expensive for multiple TVs.  I saw another question posted about this a couple months, but I don't think anyone offered a solution.  Thank you in advance.

What sort of internet service do you have?

What's your download speed at the FireSticks?

I have Astound broadband.  I'm supposed to get 300M/20M, but I know I don't get  that.  I don't have any problems streaming any channels after the app starts.  I also don't have any problems streaming other apps.  The problem is limited to starting the DirecTV Stream app on the Firesticks.  I've had DirectTV Stream and the same internet service for years.  The problem just began a few months ago.  Also, I don't have a problem starting the app on my laptop or smart phone.  They both start immediately, and both are connected to my home Wifi.  The problem is only with the Firesticks.

I have the exact same issues!! Everytime I call ATT direct tv, they blame it on my Spectrum service. I then call Spectrum who immediately sends me a new modem, but  the same issues persist so clearly it is not my Spectrum modem causing the issues.  I cannot cancel until October because I am under contract. Unfortunately I have this subpar service at two homes. I insisted that ATT at least send me a new box to try to see if that helps with the issues.  It happens on the tv with the box and the ones that I stream the app to watch. Beyond frustrating is correct!!!!! If this doesn't fix the error, I am going to write a bad review everyday until I can cancel my service. Perhaps this will prompt ATT to fix the errors that many people are obviously having while trying to watch tv.

The TV in my bedroom that I have to unplug almost everytime I turn the tv on is only a couple of months old

To DirecTV Help, I've tried all those steps.  Please read my post before suggesting that I take steps that have not worked. 

My firesticks range from one to four years old.  This problem just started a few months ago.  I've had DirecTV Stream for over four years and have only used Firesticks to stream to my TV.  I spoke to Amazon, and all my Firesticks are up to date.  DirecTV has to know there is a problem and for some reason, is not fixing it.  Someone else posted about this same problem in March 2022.

I wish I did! I have the same issue at least twice a week. I have forced closed the applications I'm not using at the time and cleared the cache.  I am not happy about this issue. I'm wondering if other streaming services have the same issues?
