Unable to delete recordings

Unable to delete recordings made in My Library.  The delete choice is not seen.

There are two ways to delete recordings.
1. Play the recording all the way to the end and it will ask you to keep it or delete. 
2. Go to "List" and open the recording you want to delete. Then select "Delete Recording".

I’m using a Roku Express stick.  It provides full functionality except for the delete function.  It does not show up anywhere

Try rebooting your device you should be able to do this from your settings.  Just don't factory reset your device as you will lose all your Apps.  A reboot should fix this issue.  Your Roku should delete recorded shows. I have 2 different Roku devices and my devices delete recorded shows just fine!

After watching a recorded program and trying to delete it a few minutes ago, it won’t delete and additionally, I can’t play any of the recordings that are shown on my list.  I don’t watch live TV. All I watch are 1 million recordings I have. This is happening on my DIRECTV stream box and my Roku.

So now my DIRECTV stream has been rendered useless. I tried the red button reboot, which did nothing to correct the problem as I knew it wouldn’t because it also affected my Roku. Then I went to settings and signed out and re-signed in and at first, it wouldn’t even let me login or out and finally it did and that had no effect on the problem. So I’m stuck not being able to watch my recordings, which is all I watch. Anyone else?

Well, now suddenly, I can watch my recordings, but cannot delete them. Didn’t we go through something like this not long ago where we couldn’t delete recordings?

I have been having the same problem tonight. I thought it was just my own problem. I have 2 Gemini Air's attached to 2 different TV's and I can not delete episodes of old shows on either one of them. I tried some of the suggestions here but if it is not working on both TV's suddenly - I do not see how it can be a problem with a particular device. Something else must be wrong. It seems to be recording some shows today but I have not tried playing anything yet. I just want to clean off shows I have already watched.

Tonight I am Not able to Delete recordings And I have No Favorite Channels in the Guide in both of my DirecTV Stream profiles (both had many favorite channels).  This is happening on the DirecTV App on my Amazon Firestick and using the DirecTV App on Android ph.  In addition, I tried re-selecting favorite channels & it appeared they were selected, but they were all gone after I selected a channel to watch and then returned to the guide.

it appears DIRECTV stream is having a bad software problem right now. First I couldn’t delete recordings then I couldn’t WATCH recordings then I could watch them, but I still can’t delete them. And I sign in, I sign out I get the same thing you do - no favorites, but after a minute they come back. I wouldn’t spend time rebuilding it just sign out and sign in again and give it a minute. The only thing that’s still failing for me is no way to DELETE recordings, using any of the three ways to delete.

Same issue with an AppleTV.  Customer service is worthless .  can't watch or delete recordings in my library, and all my favorite channels have been deleted.  Reset them and they immediately disappeared.  Rebooted my device 3 times.  I hope my scheduled recordings record, or ill be looking for a service credit
