Unable to log in to Max app (TV, Computer, Phone)

I have not been able to log in to the Max app on any of my devices for the past three weeks. Every time I try to log in it says "Something went wrong. There was a problem connecting to your DIRECTV Stream account. Please wait a few minutes and try again."

 I've reached out multiple times and have been told my issue has been escalated to the back end team each time. I've deleted the cache, restarted my receiver, deleted and reinstalled the app, changed my password, spoke with Max and tried every single thing. I've also been told it's my internet provider and I need to reach out to them...

Does anyone have a solution???

Question for those that subscribe to HBO through Directv Stream and have access to the Max app.  My question is... which Max plan are you getting with your HBO subscription?  Is it the  Ad-Free plan or the Ultimate Ad-Free?  A  Directv rep told me it would be with Ads but that didn't make sense to me.

What worked for me recently (but who knows whether it is repeatable) was this:

1. Log out of Max on all of my devices.

2. Turn off the VPN on my laptop.

3. Creating a separate log in with my email and separate password for Max on my laptop (at play.max.com) using Chrome.

4. Then linking the Max account to my DirecTV account.

5. Once it linked, I was able to stream Max on my laptop.

6. Then somehow the new Max log in worked on my smart TV and phone and remain linked.

7. Don't forget to turn your VPN back on.

What worked for me: turn off “hide my ip address from websites” in safari settings. I was able to sign in and authorize max on my tv.

Were you able to fix this?  I was just on the phone with DirecTV and they stated it was an issue with the Max app.  However, I can use the app on my phone fine.  Max worked fine yesterday and today it is a black screen.  Soooooo very sick of this.
