video quality

Local TV - keep getting when network is congested message. Using Fire Stick, internet running at 200 mb up and down wireless. Video quality goes from 4K to poor. -30 dbm

You have an internet plan that gives your 200mb up and 200 down? Does your router use 2.4 and 5? Directv Stream doesn't have any channels in 4k so you were never getting 4k quality in the 1st place. I have found using 1080p on my firestick makes the video look better. Try disabling HDR on your firestick and your tv as well

The plan is 400 up and down. Yes over 2.4 and 5. So you are saying the message about network congestion is from the firestick rather than DirectTV? Also, other streaming services work fine with good video quality. Clearly, the  issue is throughput from DirectTV not the ISP

I've had Dtv Stream for 9 months and have never seen a network congested message. The issue is your internet. I thought you said it was 200---now it's 400? Try restarting you cable modem/router and if you still get that message something is wrong with your internet/ ISP

The actual WiFi speed at the FireStick might be much slower.
