Watching with browser right side scrollbar stays visible

Since the last update Wednesday (11/10/22) night, when watching live TV with a browser, the right scrollbar on the browser does not disappear when watching in full screen mode.   This is a new behavior and didn't occur before the update.   Have tried multiple computers and browsers and getting the same result.   Fixing this should be simple on the Directv end.  Lets go guys and gals!

Are you saying that link does not work? If not, something has changed in your environment. That link is working on 2 desktops, 3 laptops, and both of my Chromebooks.

Your link works just fine but it's not the link I had saved to log in before.

The Settings changed here also just like TCsTV's and the obnoxious gray scroll bar remains on the right had side no matter what resolution I change my laptop to.

I used to just click on the settings icon and click sign out. Now I have to click on account and then click on sign out.

So something has definitely changed about the web interface. Maybe it's regional. If that's the case then count your blessings.

I never noticed the "DirecTV RN Web" before in the tab heading before it was mentioned in this post. I see that term at first in the tab heading when I load the URL, but it loads correctly.

If you Google search for "DirecTV RN Web" you will find a hit for the old DirecTV Now app.

I wonder if this has anything to do with moving from AT&T TV to DirecTV Stream?

When I sign out this is beginning part of a super long link in my address bar:

https://signin.att.com/dynamic/............................

TCsTV were you previously an AT&T TV customer that was switched to DirecTV Stream?

Nope. Never had anything related to AT&T till the streaming service over 6 years ago. I am an original subscriber prior to the service being released. Was a participated in the original BETA testing prior to the release and other BETA's afterwards.

Yes, I was an original AT&T Streaming customer, starting approx 6 or more years ago.  They made the change to Directv Stream quite a while ago.  There was also another name or two before AT&T spun it off.  All that was never an issue before.  I've been using the same bookmark for a long time and it does still get me there after the current quick "unexpected" page.

Yeah that's what the saved bookmark link done to me. I bet this has something to do with being grandfathered in from AT&T and during the login process it's using and older interface as bcbsncjlj previousy posted above. That's something to ponder if you resort to calling in about the problem.

This may be a common link with the people that will have issues. As previously stated it should be something that is easily fixed but then again I've seen issues like this drag on for months before it gets fixed. In the mean time I'm using a roku stick and fire TV stick to avoid the issue but would rather stream from my laptop :(

For what it's worth, the scrollbar does not stay lit when I'm watching a program I've recorded or an On Demand show.  It only seems to be a problem with live tv shows.  So, if you don't mind being a little behind, you can start a live program recording, wait a few minutes and then start watching the recording of the program in the My Library section.  Unfortunately you're always a little late and you can't switch channels without going live.

Thanks for the info I'll give that a try but then again if I'm watching a sporting event and in chat with someone I would always be behind :(

It would be nice if DTV would monitor these forums and take note of problems and consider their customer's feedback and research. I've been here before and left because they would never get the screen going black for periods of time and sometimes you would have to reload the page to take away the black screen. It took months for them to fix that.

When I try to login with the link bcbsncjlj uses I get the DIRECTV stream "What the Deuce?! The page you're looking for has been removed, renamed, or is temporarily unavailable with the Family guy kid holding a teddy bear. Then I click the link again while on that page and it logs in?!

Something else you can try that works also is on a movie. Restart the movie and the scroll bar will also be gone. Only problem is the movies are very laggy unless you close the laptop screen. Then that makes the arrow come up in the middle of the screen. I know it's not my Internet or connection.

Oh well, back to the Roku Stick.

We should not have to be doing any kind of work around to make this work without a scroll bar on the right side when in full screen mode. JMHO

TCsTV did you get in contact with technical support?

I can't believe no one else has reported the problem with the scroll bar on laptops and computers while viewing live TV.

Maybe there's not to many that even notice it or are bothered with it?

I haven't tried today but after several attempts yesterday I just gave up for the day.
Today is college football day so, I doubt I'll do much testing today.

Hopefully someone else will come here and let us know they are having the same problem so we can do some more brainstorming. I really do believe it's related to grandfatherd in AT&T TV to DIRECTV stream that are having this issue but would like to see others that are also affected.

I am grandfathered. As mentioned, member since conception. No problems. Currently in RV with laptop watching games. No sidebar issue. Stumped why it's behaving for the 2 of you. Seen no more reports from subscribers.

Haven't tried tech support yet.  Might wait for A team to get in on Monday vs. weekend crews.  Friday was a holiday of sorts, so maybe someone from DTv will look at this in the meantime.  Fat chance probably.  I have a Roku TV with the app that works, so I'll be watching it for now.  Will need to be traveling next week so it would be nice to see the PC version fixed.

@bcbsncjlj do you like just making comments to run your status up?

We get it! We saw your comment before. You're not helping solve the problem we have by making the comments that it's not an issue for you.

You act as if we are making this up?!?! I'm so glad it's not happening to you but the fact still remains that it is to us.

Please don't make any more comments unless you actually have something to help.

Thank You!
