When may we see.....

DirecTV Stream in the graphic before sporting events that says "Availible in 4K" on DirecTV, YouTubeTV, and Fubo?

It is WAY beyond time.

Hello there. DIRECTV aims to bring state-of-the-art technology to your home, including 4K content. Currently, the app device is 4K capable, and while DIRECTV STREAM does not offer 4K content, you can stream 4K content available from other apps. We appreciate your comment and will raise it with the team in charge. Thank you for contacting DIRECTV STREAM.  Luis, DIRECTV Community Specialist

That means if an event is offered in 4k by the source network's own app (Fox Sports app, CBS Sports app, whatever) then that app running on the DTV streaming device (or on other devices) and authenticated with your DTV Stream credentials should give you the event in 4k.  I think (in most cases?) the other providers that do have those events in 4k within their service do so on separate dedicated 4k channels (which in the case of YouTube TV at least is part of a fairly expensive separate add-on package).  DTV Stream doesn't currently have such a channel, though I assume they are at least considering adding something like that to encourage migration of DTV satellite customers.  No clue if, let alone when they would do it - but I personally hope if they do that they also make it a separate add-on, since I have no interest in having my monthly fee go up to provide something I have no interest in.
