worst service ever! so disappointed

I would like to write a public review of my incredibly, terrible Direct TV service. I have been an AT&T phone customer since 1995! I'm so disappointed in my tv service that I am ready to pull all four phones and both tv services because my tv service is so horrible. I have called numerous times to complain/inquire about my awful service. Everytime I call, AT&T tells me it's my spectrum service who is at fault. I then call Spectrum who immediately sends me out a new modem. The same issues continue to occur with a new modem.  It is not the modem or Spectrum. My TV service is just awful. In the middle of a show or sporting event, my tv just goes out. In my bedroom, I turn on the tv and download the app and of course 98% of the time, an error message appears on the screen. The only way to fix the issue is to get up out of bed and unplug everything then plug it back in and poof, it works correctly. It is just a terrible inconvenience to have these interruptions. It stinks when I have friends over to watch a hockey game or football game and my tv connection goes off and I have to fix it.  ATT has done nothing to rectify these issues. I am at a total loss and of course, I'm in the middle of a contract with the TV service. I cannot wait to cancel it!!!! Worst decision ever was signing up for this TV service. So disappointed.

What streaming device are you using?

How is the streaming device connected to your home network?

What's your actual internet download speed at the streaming device?

This sort of issue is almost always caused by network/internet problems.

I would rather DIRECTV fix my service than have to write bad reviews. I’ve been asking DIRECTV for months to help me. I don’t have a dish I only have a streaming box. The company “resets” or whatever they do and nothing improves. Im paying for a service that doesn’t even work properly. Idk what else to do if they won’t send someone to fix it.

I would love for DIRECTV to come out to fix my problem. However I have called repeatedly in the last year and a half and they just read from a script, say they have reset the signal and my service should work now, it’s my spectrum service not them, etc. I had to basically beg for a new box to see if by chance that helps. I don’t have a dish on my roof. I’m beyond frustrated and just want to be able to watch a show without interruption and be able to turn on my tv without having to get up and reset everything for it to work. I’m not lazy just like the convenience of having a remote lol. I want to be able to have a party for sporting events with confidence that we will be able to watch the entire game without interruption. I’ve got my limit of being sweet and patient with this awful service.

What is the internet speed that you are getting from Spectrum your MBPS  if you are not sure you can check your internet speed by going to speedtest.net and check your speed I have spectrum and had to have them come in a fix my speed issue as I was not getting what I was supposed to and after they replaced the line and did everything new they found out it was a bad connection at the pole so check your speed and go from there if your speed is good then get a hold of DirecTV and tell them you are having an issue with your box and that you want to replace it with a different one because I have had issues with 1 of my boxes not working right and they sent a replacement

Spectrum replaced  my router 3x and they did replace the wire that connects the pole to my house. Spectrum did everything possible. Spectrum  has been great in trying to fix the issue. I’m not sure what my internet speed is. I had to insist that DIRECTV send me a new box. It has been shipped but I have not received it yet. DIRECTV “reset” my single or whatever and said it should be fixed but it is not. Still having issues and waiting on that little box.

If my service isn’t working correctly,  I should be able to cancel without financial penalty but I CANNOT. Filing a BBB complaint is a great idea!!!! Thank you for the suggestion.

There's no penalty for cancelling DirecTV Stream service. The exception would be if you still owe money on the 24-month installments for a DirecTV Stream box. You'll have to pay that off. 

DIRECTVhelp keeps trying to reach out to you. Have you connected with them? Continuing to post your complaints here won't solve anything.

I will verify. They just said if I cancel before October I would have to pay. I have 2 houses with service, up to date on monthly payments of course. It actually worked today when I turned it on which it does sometimes. New box should be arriving this week.

Try Dtv satellite and Dtv stream, its is just awesome. There is nothing bad in it. It will change your views.
