Access HBO Max
I have a SONY TV with DirecTV and billed monthly for HBO Max. How do I access the full HBO Max content through DirecTV on my TV? Am I restricted to using Chromecast from my phone? I hope not.

The only HBO content you access through your Directv receiver is the HBO satellite channels 501-511 and HBO on demand. As noted, HBO Max streaming requires the HBO Max app on a streaming device. You use your Directv credentials to log into the HBO Max app.

You don't, HBO Max is a streaming service so needs a streaming device connected to the TV like Roku, Firestick or the app downloaded to the TV.

Unfortunately, my Sony Bravia does not appear to support downloading the HBO Max app, nor does DirecTV. Guess that leaves Roku or Firestick as requirements. May do as well to stick with Chromecast. Thanks.

Right as DTV is not a streaming service so there is no need to download apps.
