CAN LOG INTO THE DIRECTV APP ANYMORE

WHEN I HIT SIGN IN WITH MY PASSWORD IT EITHER SPINS OR GOES TO BLACK SCREEN & JUST LAST WEEK I WAS

ABLE TO WATCH MY TV SHOW ON THE APP

Hi, @d2crandall.  We apologize for the sign-in issue on our app. We'd like to know more so we can investigate. What device are you using, and are you getting any error codes/messages?

 

If you haven't yet, please try uninstalling and reinstalling the app, then attempt to sign in again. Let us know how it goes. Kesiah, DIRECTV Community Specialist

Yes I get a black screen when I log in on mobile devices(iPhone, Samsung phone, ipad)  Working on TCL tv when re-download.   Not working on Firestick attached to tv.   Signs in to Free Directv and not payed account

We are having the same problem. We're using our Ohio service in Georgia. Had no problems and watching since November and then 3 days ago, Directv stopped working. We have tried everything and every device (2 iPhones, 2 MacBooks, Sony TV) and no luck. Only the iPad and TV that we were previously signed on to are working. We're afraid to sign out of those devices. We have spent over 6 hours the last 3 days on the phone with Directv. They tell us that someone will get back to us but we never get a call back. We have been with Directv for over 30 years. Never missed a payment. And can't get anyone to assist.

Sounds like it was some sort of update on their end.  Affecting mobil devices and firestick plugged into TV.  Developers/code programmers have been notified.

They should have fixed by end of 2025 is my guess

Figured out the problem or work around. Looks like if you bundled with AT&T in the past, you have to now have separate logins for AT&T and DTV. I set up the DTV under my husband's email and left AT&T under mine. Logged in on the TV and it worked. Only now, it appears that we can no longer watch our local channels when in another location. 

So frustrating that these call centers just want to forward you to another phone number to get you off the line. Customer service is horrible!

Never had att for anything just directv. So that work around won't work for me.
