It keeps happening. It did it again. MLB recording deleted at the end of the time block.

I worked a fourteen hour day yesterday.  The MLB game I wanted to watch was a day game.  Since I was working, I recorded it.  I finally get home after a very long day and my game isn't in the list.  I go to the recording manager, and sure enough, it was recorded but then deleted at the end of the time allowed for the recording block.  It was not a blacked out game.  It was available to watch on either the Marlins feed (home), or the Rangers feed (away).  It was recorded , then it was deleted automatically by Directv.  When you go to the recording manager and look at recording history, it shows that it was recorded and then deleted. 

It says  "GameSearch was performed for the Rangers @ Marlins (Rangers Broadcast) on channel xxx as this program was not authorized due to blackout restrictions in your area.  This episode was partially recorded because the channel became unavailable. (6)

But this isn't what happened.  The program WAS authorized.  There are NO blackout restrictions in my area for this game.  I am very familiar with blackout restrictions and how they work.  On top of that, it wasn't even blacked out as stated in the message, it recorded it, the whole game, you can tell by the green bar at the bottom of the graphic.  The program was FULLY recorded, not partially.  The channel did NOT become unavailable. 

This has happened multiple times this year.  But now it's happening almost every recording.  Then I get a game that records fine.  No consistency.  I've been getting the MLB package for years and have recorded hundreds of games over the years.  But now when I get home after a long day, I can't watch the game I specifically recorded.  I have written multiple times about this but my games keep getting deleted.  And guess what the last response I received was?  Here you go, this was the official response from Directv: 

"We conducted an investigation and we currently don't have any widespread issue with the problem reported. We're sorry that you missed and unable to record those games."  Really?  This is unacceptable! So since there isn't a big problem, my problem doesn't deserve to get resolved?  I've paid for the MLB package, I spend hundreds of dollars a month with there is no restrictions by MLB to record games in the package, so games record, others are recorded and then auto deleted.  I know the blackout rules.  So what's going on here?  I think that Directv is at fault for having some sort of programing issue.  Maybe it's MLB's fault?  Maybe they are trying to squeeze Directv out and direct customers to the MLB site.  I know that I can go to the MLB app in Apple TV and watch the archived game, but the picture quality is not as good, the sound is worse, the ability to pause and fast forward (Edited per community guidelines).  I want my Directv to work the way it is supposed to and has worked for years prior.

What was the DM solution to your problem? I'm having the EXACT SAME PROBLEM WITH EXACT SAME RECORDINGS. Texas Rangers feed for all 3 Marlins games. Watched it recording and watched an inning no problem. Then came back later and auto deleted again. Called CS and was told its a box/internal memory issue, but I'm skeptical. Curious if you got any resolution...

Also curious spencertco, I noticed for about a week prior to these auto deletions that my scheduled recordings auto added an additional 2 hours of recording that I did not program in a separate recording from the original. (I usually add 1 and a half hous to recordings) The extra recording time was unnecessary empty content that I simply deleted,  but my Rangers broadcast was at least recorded and not auto deleted. Just curious if you experienced anything similar?

(Edited per community guidelines). GOT A NEW BOX AND SAME (Edited per community guidelines) IS HAPPENING. WHERE IS @DIRECTVhelp. DELETING MY RECORDINGS OF RANGERS GAMES

Yeah. Umm it's been "persisting" for over a week now. And I need to reset a brand new box you guys just sent me and I spent an hour on the phone with you guys setting it up?

Just reset the box. Do you even know how to do that ? 5 minutes and it's done.

Yes I very well know how to do that and I've already done it to no avail multiple times with the old box and the new box. Reset my directv box hundreds of times over 20 years. Just another standard CS line they read off the script when they have no answers to your problem. You sound like a Directv employee parroting everything they say. Why are you even following this thread? Just to tell ppl they need to reset their box? You really think that's the problem when 2 strangers on this thread are experiencing the exact same problem with the exact same team live recordings that started on the exact same date?

The exact same problem is happening to me for Cardinals games.  CS had me reset the box so we’ll see if that fixes it.  I am going to record both teams’ feeds as well.  It doesn’t sound like it’s the box and I don’t want to get a new one now anyway as there are quite a few shows I have recorded I want to watch.  If anybody determines the root cause please post.

Update, Sunday and Monday recordings actually were saved but last nights game was auto deleted again. Seems no rhyme or reason now. Note I've reset my box multiple times during this mess both before and after they shipped me a brand new box. Those 2 games that were saved were the only successful recordings in basically 2 weeks.
