Local Channel The CW.

I made a post yesterday and I am not sure where my post went!

It totally disappeared from this forum with no kind of notification or email.

We have Directv with the Dish out in the back yard.

We use the DIRECTV APP on all of the TV's, due to where they drilled the hole in the floor to run the line is on the other side of the living room, and we don't have 99.00 up front to roll a truck out to either move the cord in the floor / or just extend the cord across the ceiling of the living room. ( if they can do that? I don't know that they can? Can they?)

We left the Genie plugged up and connected to the dish outside on the other side of the living room.

But we can't get WCBI 4.2 " NORTH MS'S THE CW 4 " ( Shows up on the guide as CH 5 ) on any tv's. We were able to get it, but now it just shows this error message:

Were trying to figure out why we can't get THE CW, which is one of our local channels, that comes with the local channel packages?

Thanks In Advance!

The app features most channels, but not all. Therefore, to watch CW, you need to use your Genie receiver, as it is the main piece of your satellite service. If you are more interested in streaming, you should consider DIRECTV STREAM.

Can you receive that channel when viewing the TV connected to your Genie DVR?

@litzdog911 Yes, but we haven't used the outdoor dish part in a good couple months now, just the app.

If you receive that channel on the TV connected to the Genie DVR, then the problem is as stated previously. DirecTV does not have the right to stream that channel.

@litzdog911 I just hate to pay 99.00 for them to come out and run the COAX across the room. We don't want to change the living room to back the way it was.

I wonder, would the 99.00 cover extending the COAX and putting in 2 boxes in the bedrooms?

Hi,

I don't want to pay $99.00 for a truck to roll out for my house to put in 2 boxes in the 2 bedrooms, so on the other 2 TV's  that are in the bedrooms, we use the DIRECTV APP through our ROKU's.

And Directv App in the living room with Roku built into it because we'd have to pay the 99.00 to roll a truck out to run the cord to the other side of the living room. The Genie is hooked up on the other side of the living room where the TV use to be.

When trying to watch WCBI 4.2 THE CW, I get an error message:

I was able to get that channel, and now all of a sudden we cant? We get that channel! It's a part of our local's for North MS. What gives?

Thanks in advance!

Thank you for the information. The WCBI-D2 channel 5 is only available on Satellite. If you have a DIRECTV Stream or Via Internet account, you can't access this channel. We’re sending you a DM to review options for you. Jhoan, DIRECTV Community Specialist

You own the coax so you can get a F81 barrel nut to add more coax.  Unless you have a free upgrade coming for one added TV plus a charge for the second TV, DTV will charge you to add 2 TVs
