Question about Directv app and DVR option

Hi, we have satellite and two regular boxes (Living Room and Bedroom) and neither are DVRs.  I just loaded the Directv app on Firestick, and when I try to record a program, it shows one of those two boxes as the DVR option, and I don't think records anything.  It doesn't really give an option to change the destination in the app.

Should I have a cloud DVR option or should I have any option to record from the app?  Sorry, totally new to this.
