Bally Sports App not working

I have

I'm trying to watch Reds games via the Bally Sports app but I keep getting the following error: 

SERVICE ERROR

There is an issue playing this video, either you are not entitled or there is an error playing it.

I have attempted contacting Bally Sports help but they are telling me that the issue is with DirecTv and not on their end.

I do have Bally Sports in my channel package.

Have you tried to uninstall and re install the Bally Sports app? Does it happens in different devices? Please let us know, we are happy to help.

Yes I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, but still have the exact same issue. 

Yes, the same error message occurs on multiple devices.

Is your location within the viewing area for you RSN? Unfortunately, using the app when you are physically located outside of your viewing area doesn’t work.

Does the error appear when you try to watch/stream any other programming besides Reds games via Bally Sports App?
 
Have you tried to turn off/on your location to see whether this affect the availability of the games on your app? By the way, @sandblaster. Thanks for your insight about the location restrictions.
 
Finally, please share with us your service ZIP code, in case the issue persists.

Yes I am within the viewing area of the RSN.

Toggling the location on/off did not work either.

My zip code is 45118

Thank you for confirming, @hitman3530.

 

We've found the MLB league came to an agreement with Fox Network, and some Saturday games available on those channels are not available through Bally Sports or the MLB . TV app.

 

Did you have the opportunity to confirm whether the game was scheduled on Fox channel yesterday? This might be the root cause of the situation you experienced yesterday.

This has been happening every single day since the start of the season, no matter what day it is.  Sunday-Saturday.  Every single day.  I get the same error over and over claiming that I am not entitled to watch it or there is an issue streaming. 

Doesn't matter if it's a Reds game or any other broadcast.

I have contacted Bally Sports and they are claiming that the issue is on/with DirecTv and not on their end.

This is all on DIRECTV!!! Eventhough your game is airing on Bally Sports, DIRECTV (the only cable company who you can basically get Bally Sports) decides that they will broadcast baseball on MLB Extra Innings, hockey on NHL Center Ice, and basketball on NBA TV/League limiting Bally Sports to college sports. I thought having the premier package would give me the option of watching all the channels I PAID for; however, not the case as once again lets screw the end customer!!!

Bally Sports channels tell me the owner of this content has not allowed it to stream in this area. Not just games but all content. Spent over an hour with a tech that assured me that they would reset my access and if I wait four hours all would be fine. It has been thirty hours and no content. Trying to watch the Brewers. Milwaukee is 200 miles from me.

Does this thread mean that, although I have Bally Sports in my package that I cannot stream games through the app when I can watch them normally on my receiver?

I was moving to places not in my Home area. I changed my Home setting. All locally available channels worked fine except Bally Sports. After 6 visits with questionable tech staff one suggested I needed to change my Billing Address...rediculous...but it worked.
